Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019 front-facing cameraĬonsidering that this is a tablet, the 5-megapixel front-facing camera and the 8-megapixel camera on the back take pretty decent photos. Anyways, if you consider how cheap this tablet is, the sound quality is good.īy the way, a bit pricier competitors like the Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite 10, Lenovo Tab P10, and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 do have four speakers each. Samsung is advertising big Dolby Atmos surround sound for big movies. That means you won’t get any kind of stereo separation when watching movies. Sadly, we just get two and they’re placed on the same side. Next to the USB C port, Samsung placed two stereo speakers. It’s a bit disappointing that we don’t get a fingerprint scanner. You can connect accessories like external SSDs or USB C hubs if you want. It’s charged using a USB C 2.0 port which is located on the bottom. The left side is empty and on the top is a standard headphone jack. In the later one you can insert up to 400GB cards and if you want, you can move apps to the microSD in the settings. When holding the tablet in portrait mode, we get a power button, volume controls, and a microSD card slot on the right side. You can get it in black, silver, and gold. With 7.5mm it is noticeably thicker than premium tablets but it’s much cheaper too. However, it continues to have a plastic bar at the top for the antennas. Because of that, it does feel higher-end. And while the previous generations were made of plastic, we finally get a mostly metal body. We don’t get any physical buttons underneath the screen anymore and the bezels are a bit thinner. Design & Build QualityĬompared to its predecessor, the design has changed a lot. I’ve reviewed all of them but this is about the newest one. In 2018, Samsung also released a Galaxy Tab A 10.5.

It is the predecessor to the 2016 Galaxy Tab A 10.1. They’re loud with great clarity and while they still don’t hold a candle to front facing speakers the speakers are placed in such a way that you’ll never accidentally block them with your hands whether you’re holding the tablet in portrait or landscape.A quick note about the different Galaxy Tab A versions: This video is about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019 with the product numbers T510 and T515. What separates the Tab 4 10.1 besides it’s larger display is the dual speakers on the left and right sides which is a big improvement from the tiny single speaker on the 7 and 8 inch models. For being plastic it feels very solid and lightweight making it very comfortable to use for long periods of time. The hardware is not unlike any Samsung product we’ve seen before being entirely constructed of plastic with a fake leather texture on the back and a chrome trim wrapping around the perimeter of the tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is the biggest out of the Tab 4 bunch and if 7 or 8 inch tablets are just too small for you then Samsung’s got you covered with the 10.1.

With a bright and vivid display, solid build quality, dual speakers, and great battery life, this tablet is a great option to consider and if having cutting edge specs isn’t a factor then this tablet just might be worth it.
